San José no longer has to be behind Milpitas … we are scheduled to get a Barack Obama Boulevard (? avenue?) after 3 years of organizing. The renamed street will only be visible from a car, since no one goes on that stretch other than to use the freeway or the train thanks to slumlords who’ve intentionally let those blocks rot for 40 years.
But how did it get done after all the naysaying??? Hijacked public sentiment, stroking psycho homeowners and cops, or just Google getting its way again? The truth lies somewhere in the middle…
