It appears that the 2016 Eugenio Negro novel “Meat Ladder to Mars” will indeed become nonfiction, at least most of it, thanks to President Trump, who “plans” to “direct” NASA to send North American astronauts to the moon and to Mars, presumably as soon as possible. And who will work these launch jobs? We’d better read the book.

So it’s only now occurred to me that there is a MAD covers website, basically the one thing we were hoping to get out of the internet in 1996, and now it’s here. Thanks Doug Gilford!
The first MAD I ever got can be seen here. The back cover was pretty instructive at that age. The whole thing makes one really miss Heavy Metal, Omni, print media in general, when a guy could almost make a living painting pictures for magazines. My adolescence was basically about watching this stuff die and get replaced by shitty memes made with old pictures.
Here’s a talk between Negro and host Diane Solomon about writing and e-waste. The show was Meeting of the Ways on KKUP 91.5 FM Cupertino, 31 July 2016 at 5pm. Make sure to visit ban.org to see about getting your e-waste actually recycled and not just outsourced to the third world!
Hey hey, if you’re considering downloading or buying a real life copy of MEAT LADDER TO MARS, here’s an audio preview of me reading it.
